After the best part of a year in the making, Foxtel’s new interactive TV service on Xbox gets its unveiling...

This week sees the launch of Foxtel on Xbox 360 – a brand new interactive TV service by News Corporation’s Foxtel in Australia, created exclusively for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console. After our appointment to the project last year, where we were tasked with leading the development of the user-experience and service interface, Foxtel on Xbox  includes a variety of innovative new features.  While a full case study will follow shortly [but for now feast your eyes on the above], highlights include the live streaming of some 30+ on-air channels; the seamless integration of an extensive VOD library consisting of over 1000 film and TV titles; some neat new social enhancements including group and party viewing experiences; and finally, a fully optimised Metro U.I. in anticipation for Microsoft’s  “you are the controller” Kinect product launch later this year.
